Josh Kimbrough-El

Founder | Director: Community Partners Association, Founder | CEO: Community Backers, Inc.

Josh Kimbrough-El brings more than a decade of experience at the intersection of urban development, community ecosystems, capital strategy, and business growth. As Founder and Director of Community Partners Association, Josh works across strategic partnerships, joint ventures, investment and capital advisory, alternative lending, market development, infrastructure, procurement, and social impact.

He is also the Founder and CEO of Community Backers, Inc., an alternative capital and private lending organization providing creative financing solutions for enterprises, real estate developers, investors, and entrepreneurs. The firm’s work encompasses real estate, acquisitions, equipment, accounts receivable, startups, and portfolio capital.

Josh’s broader experience spans family office development, middle-market mergers and acquisitions, growth strategy, international trade, research and development, and social impact investing. He has held leadership and advisory roles with organizations working in private lending, family office investment, M&A advisory, humanitarian development, and venture development, giving him a cross-sector perspective on how capital, partnerships, and community needs intersect.

At NSN, Josh applies that perspective to urban development initiatives, helping connect community priorities with the partnerships, resources, financing strategies, and broader ecosystems required to move projects from concept to implementation.

Josh studied Finance and Economics at the University of Missouri–Kansas City and holds certifications in venture capital and dealmaking, M&A, private lending, and family office investment management.
