Tanicha Nicola
Events Coordinator | Co-host, Beyond the Psyche
Tanicha Nicola is a Jamaican-Caribbean woman, entrepreneur, songwriter, performer, mother, and spiritual seeker whose life has been shaped by resilience, creativity, faith, culture, and transformation. At a young age, Tanicha experienced the tragic loss of her mother, her aunt, and her God sister. That unimaginable experience changed the course of her life and left her with questions about life, death, purpose, and God. In the midst of profound loss, she found herself drawn closer to God, beginning a spiritual journey that would continue to evolve throughout her life. Today, Tanicha’s spirituality is deeply connected to her Jamaican-Caribbean roots, ancestral reverence, and her study and practice of Ifá and the wisdom of the Orisha. Her connection to Oya—associated with storms, transformation, change, and movement—mirrors her own journey. She understands that sometimes the storm is what clears the path for who you are becoming.
Creativity has always been another language for Tanicha. Through songwriting and performing, she transforms her experiences, emotions, relationships, spirituality, culture, grief, and womanhood into stories and sound. Her expression is raw, soulful, and unapologetic.
As an entrepreneur, she is the founder of La Liaison, a cleaning service built around creating peace, order, and relief for others, reflected in her message: “La Liaison — Choose Your Peace.” But beyond the music, spirituality, motherhood, and business is a woman continually transforming. Tanicha carries the memory of those she lost while refusing to let tragedy define her. She continues to rebuild, rediscover her voice, honor where she comes from, and create the life she believes she was meant to live. She is the storm, the song, the creator, the entrepreneur, the mother, the survivor, and the woman still becoming.
